Baby class – FOUNDATIONS
Our baby class is a perfect opportunity for you to cuddle, bounce, and connect with your baby. Whether your baby is five weeks or five months, this class will be perfect for you!
Foundations is designed to meet the developmental needs of a baby in the first year of life. With age-appropriate music-based activities for newborn babies, infants, and crawlers, our dedicated teachers will help you strengthen those early parent-child bonds in our baby class.
Bonding through music
Each 45-minute baby class offers unique opportunities for bonding and communicating. You and your baby will enjoy instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time.
Expert advice
You’ll also get expert advice based on the most recent research in baby development and ideas on how to use music to enrich your baby’s experiences outside of class.
If your baby is not yet moving, why not combine your baby music class with a baby massage class to gain a magical parenting toolkit for your baby’s first year.

Baby class activities
Our baby music classes each have a specific learning focus designed to develop your baby’s physical and mental abilities through music. Activities include:
- Singing & rhyme play
- Vocal play and parent-child interactions such as sign language
- Exploring baby-safe instruments and other object and sensory play
- Bonding exercises such as storytime, massage, and relaxation time
- Guided movement activities such as social dances and lap bounces
Kindermusik baby class benefits
A Kindermusik baby music class offers you the chance to nurture your baby’s development and help you communicate with your baby, all through the power of music. Skills developed include:
- Physical coordination and control over movements
- Strengthening of core muscles
- The ability to embrace familiar and unfamiliar social interactions

Music classes for pre-walking babies
Our Foundations class is tailored to the needs, and abilities of, pre-walking babies – if your baby is walking unaided or very nearly, our Level 1 class might be more appropriate! Get in touch if you can’t decide which class is best for you and your child.
