About us

“There’s always a relaxed atmosphere and Sarah encourages every child to join in and enjoy music.”
Philippa, mum of Eleanor and Rebecca

At Kindermusik with Sarah we believe that MUSIC IS THE KEY to unlocking your young child’s potential.

Through our engaging classes, we provide a weekly opportunity for children and parents to CONNECT with each other and with others. Our small classes allow us to NURTURE and include every individual child whilst we all ENJOY making music together and SHARE our experiences.

In addition to our relaxed and friendly classes, we provide every family with IDEAS  and resources to continue joy of music making at home. We work together with all our families to lay the foundations for a lifelong love of music and learning. Let us give your child the best start in life together!

About Sarah

Hi! I am the founder of Kindermusik with Sarah and currently the sole educator. I have been a musician for as long as I can remember! After starting to play the recorder at infant school, I went on to study the violin and clarinet. Having well and truly caught the music bug, I went on to gain a first class honours music degree from the University of Bristol.

Music continues to be a major part of my life as I am very lucky to perform with two local orchestras and various chamber ensembles alongside my cellist husband. Added to this now is the rewarding, though sometimes challenging, task of helping my own children with their musical practise and taxiing them to their various musical activities!

I first discovered the joys of Kindermusik when my eldest son was at day nursery and knew that it was special! Ever since my children were very small, the house has been filled with a huge variety of musical sounds - bongos, drums, violins, singing, piano, trombone to name a few! My youngest son was one of my own first Young Child graduates!

Discovering the joy that young children can experience through music during their early years led me down the path of training to teach the wonderful Kindermusik curriculum in 2013. By teaching Kindermusik, I can now share my love of music with children and their parents so hopefully as a family, you can develop the same lifelong appreciation and enjoyment of music that I have. In 2016, I received a Maestro award from Kindermusik International for teaching excellence and have retained it again this year!
